Purchase and Sale
David Meyer has extensive experience in the representation of buyers and sellers in real estate purchase and sale transactions. The firm represents buyers and sellers of raw land, residential tracts, apartments, condominiums, hotels, industrial parks, shopping centers and office buildings. David Meyer Law negotiates and documents real property acquisitions and dispositions, and assists its clients in conducting the “due diligence” investigations required for purchase and sale transactions. This often includes investigations regarding the environmental and physical condition of real property and improvements, lease review and title, land use and zoning issues.
Commercial Leasing and Portfolio Management
A long time California leasing attorney, David Meyer has extensive experience in commercial leasing, representing both landlords and tenants in the structure, negotiation, and documentation of retail leases, office leases, shopping center leases, licenses and leases of sports stadiums, arenas and complexes, mixed use retail, special use research and development, high tech cleanrooms, industrial leases, ground leases, build-to-suit leases and subleases and assignments of leasehold interests.

Real Estate Secured Lending, Workouts and Loan Modifications
David Meyer Law assists clients in negotiating and preparing documents in connection with secured real estate loans, including troubled loans. Workout situations often involve an assessment of the lender’s loan documents and collateral position, as well as the status of documentation and security.
Where the workout fails to resolve a loan default, David Meyer Law represents the borrower in working with the lender to resolve the situation, including restructuring or modifying the secured loan. The firm has experience in non judicial foreclosures and deeds in lieu of foreclosure, as well as counseling clients on the advantages and disadvantages of this strategy compared to foreclosure.
We maintain relationships with other real estate professionals and can assemble a team of experts to advise clients with respect to troubled loans, REO and loan restructuring when borrowers are in bankruptcy; to serve as asset managers, receivers, and bankruptcy trustees; and to provide litigation support for real estate related litigation involving clients.
